Arrain Azoka 2023

Arrain Azoka

An annual event in Bermeo where the fishing and canning industries showcase their products, flavours and maritime culture, with tastings and activities for all ages. Bermeo Tuna takes part with culinary offerings designed to introduce visitors to tuna in various forms and to learn about its value and sustainability.

The annual event featuring the most important fish market on the Cantabrian coast

Bermeoko Arrain Azoka has once again wrapped up another edition filled with stands offering fresh and canned seafood products that were bustling with activity all weekend long, along with numerous culinary events where tuna took center stage, children’s workshops, and all kinds of cultural activities that made the fair as lively as it deserves to be.

Objectives

  • To highlight the value of seafood and the work of the fishing and canning sectors.
  • To offer a gastronomic and educational experience for visitors of all ages.
  • To raise awareness of tuna (bluefin and albacore) in a practical and enjoyable way.
  • To strengthen the connection between the product, local culture and good practices regarding sustainability.
