Bermeo Tuna Pintxo Lehiaketa
A culinary competition to celebrate World Tuna Day (2 May) and showcase sustainable tuna and northern bonito from Bermeo: tradition, innovation and flavour in the town’s bars.
Objectives
- To highlight the value of seafood and the work of the fishing and canning sectors.
- To offer a gastronomic and educational experience for visitors of all ages.
- To raise awareness of tuna (bluefin and albacore) in a practical and enjoyable way.
- To strengthen the connection between the product, local culture and good practices regarding sustainability.

Bermeo Tuna activities
- Tuna pintxo tastings: an opportunity to explore flavours, formats and ways of enjoying tuna, highlighting the versatility of tuna and northern bonito.
- Pairings (subject to programme): guided combinations to enjoy and learn through experience.
- Children’s workshop “Tuna Txef” 2025: a fun, hands-on activity for little ones to discover different types of tuna, learn to distinguish between them (texture and flavour) and taste them.

- Tickets/capacity: some activities may have limited places and a charge (depending on the edition).
